Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Formula 1 weekend in Las Vegas is just two weekends away, and even though Tropicana Avenue isn’t a part of the track, a small stretch will be impacted in a big way beginning Sunday night.

Starting Sunday night at 9, and going through Wednesday morning at 5, Tropicana will be closing over I-15 (between New York New York and Dean Martin Drive) as crews make some temporary adjustments for race weekend. All ramps involving I-15 and Tropicana will be closed, as well

Other adjustments beginning Sunday night:

-         15N will expand to five lanes at Tropicana

-          There will be one additional lane of westbound Tropicana from I-15 to Polaris

-          There will be one additional lane of eastbound Tropicana  from I-15 to New York New York

But wait. There's more.

Once the race is over, Tropicana will be closed again to allow crews to adjust the area back to the current configuration. That will start the night of November 19th, and last until the morning of November 22nd.
