Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police were involved in two shootings Friday night that resulted in a pair of suspects dead.

The first happened in a neighborhood near Cheyenne and Rampart. After receiving calls about a man with a gun, arriving officers found the suspect outside of his home armed with a firearm.
Police say the suspect went back into his residence, then came back out a short time later and pointed a firearm at the officers. One of the officers discharged his firearm and struck the suspect, who died at the scene.
In the second incident, officers were investigating a homicide that happened Friday afternoon at a home near Jones and 95 when they received a call of a hostage situation in the 6200 hundred block of Spring Mountain Road.
