Las Vegas Metro Police officers were sent to assist the Clark County Fire Department after reports of a fire in an underground tunnel along Dean Martin Drive.
Crews were alerted by a third person who emerged from the tunnel that two people were still inside. Investigators says that the narrowness of the tunnel kept them from getting to source of the fire and had to wait several hours after the fire was extinguished to recover two bodies from inside the tunnel.
The identities of the two haven’t been released. The cause of the fire isn’t yet known.
