Vegas murder suspect arrested in Mexico

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The prime suspect in the murder of a Las Vegas woman back in 2023 has been arrested in Mexico.

According to Las Vegas Metro Police, Oswaldo Perez-Sanchez was located in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora Mexico by the Fiscalía Unidad Especializada en Aprehensiones with support from the Mexican Marines and Agencia Ministerial de Investigación Criminal. Perez-Sanchez had been linked to the murder of another woman in Mexico, and as police did more digging into his background, they discovered his connection with the Las Vegas killing.

This arrest comes nearly two years after the murder of Tabatha Tozzi, who was Perez-Sanchez' girlfriend. Following that homicide, several local and international law enforcement agencies conducted an exhaustive investigation to locate and apprehend Perez-Sanchez after he fled to Mexico. a $30,000 reward had been offered for information that led to Perez-Sanchez' arrest.

Perez-Sanchez remains in Mexico for local charges pending extradition to the United States of America.
