Vegas woman sentenced for selling stolen firearms

Las Vegas, NV (Dept. of Justice) - A Las Vegas woman has been sentenced to 30 months in prison followed by two years of supervised release for her role in stealing 38 firearms from a business in Overton, then illegally selling at least 20 of those firearms.

Alexis Worrell pleaded guilty to one-count of theft of firearms from a licensee and one-count of possession of stolen firearms.

Co-defendant Dennis Caputo of Las Vegas was sentenced to six years in prison after pleading guilty to one-count of theft of firearms from a licensee and one-count of possession of stolen firearms. The robbery occurred in July of 2023.

Following the robbery, between July 25, 2023, and September 5, 2023, Worrell and Caputo sold and transferred some of the stolen firearms to other individuals. To date, nine of those stolen firearms have been recovered. Four are still missing.
