Virgin Hotels Las Vegas having grand opening Thursday

Opening has been postponed twice due to pandemic

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Virgin Hotels Las Vegas finally gets to hold its grand opening celebration Thursday.

Built on the site of the former Hard Rock Hotel at Flamingo and Paradise, the property has twice postponed a grand opening due the coronavirus pandemic.

“The opening of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is just one more positive sign of the recovery of the Las Vegas economy,” said Richard “Boz” Bosworth, President & CEO of JC Hospitality and Owner of Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. “We’re excited to have our team members back to work as we prepare to welcome locals and tourists alike at our completely redesigned resort.”

Guests can expect Virgin Hotels Las Vegas’ passion for food, culture and entertainment to punctuate the opening and beyond, along with live entertainment including DJs, street performances and more, beginning at 6 p.m. and into the early morning. The state-of-the-art 60,000-square-foot Mohegan Sun Casino Las Vegas, featuring 650 slots and over 150 table games, will also open at 6 p.m.

Virgin will have free wifi, complimentary self parking and zero resort fees.
