Woman arrested for burglarizing home of slain UNLV professor

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A woman is facing charges for burglarizing the home of a UNLV professor who was one of three killed in a shooting on campus back on December 6th.

Video surveillance captured Bianca Hernandez leaving the home of Dr. Naoko Takemaru in a neighborhood near Tropicana and Sandhill back on December 26th

Police say that Hernandez was observed entering the residence and taking property to a nearby car. Turned out that she lived in a home right up the street from Dr. Takemaru

Police executed a search warrant and learned that Hernandez had made online posts with the intent of selling the property taken during the burglary.

Hernandez was taken to CCDC, where she face charges that include residential burglary and possession of stolen property.
