Woman arrested for death of mother

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – A 28-year-old-woman is awaiting extradition back to Las Vegas after being charged with killing her mom at a southwest valley home.

Early Wednesday morning, Metro Police received a call from an individual stating someone was injured inside a residence located in the 10100 block of June Flower Drive, near Jones and Cactus.

Arriving officers located an unresponsive woman inside of the home who was suffering from multiple lacerations. Medical personnel responded and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

The investigation by the LVMPD Homicide Section indicates the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with her daughter, later identified as 28-year-old Hend Bustami. California Highway Patrol was able to locate and detain Bustami near Barstow, California.

Bustami will be charged with open murder and extradited back to Clark County. The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
