Woman arrested on animal cruelty charges after dog dies in the heat

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Las Vegas Metro Police have arrested a woman who they say left her dog in a crate outside on Saturday. The dog ended up dying.

30-year-old Olivia Underwood was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on animal cruelty charges, including Malicious Torture.

Neighbors at first called Animal control about the situation, then Metro Police. When Metro showed up at the home near Boulder Highway and Tropicana they found the French bulldog deceased. Temperatures on Saturday reached a record high of 106 degrees.
