Wrong-way crash on 95N leaves two dead

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Memorial Day weekend is off to a deadly start after police say a wrong-way driver caused a fatal crash on U.S. 95 North just past the Spaghetti Bowl on Saturday morning.

According to Nevada Highway Patrol, just after 8am, a man driving a Chevrolet Silverado southbound in the northbound lanes struck a pickup truck head-on just before the S. Rancho exit.

The driver and passenger in the pickup truck were both killed in the crash.

The driver of the Silverado suffered what were described as moderate injuries, and was arrested on charges of suspicion of driving under the influence.

The identities of the driver and the victims has yet to be released.
