Body recovered after vehicle drives over Grand Canyon Rim

(National Park Service) – Search and Rescue at the Grand Canyon were able to successfully recover the body of a man after the car he was driving went over a rim.

Park Service officials say the incident happened Sunday afternoon. near the South Kaibab Trailhead.

After getting the call at approximately 12:40pm, Park rangers responded immediately and recovered the body, which was located about 300 feet below the rim. The body was transported to the rim by helicopter and then transferred to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The individual has been identified as Steven (Drew) Bradley, 27, of Federal Heights, Colorado.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the National Park Service in coordination with the Coconino County Medical Examiner.
