The alert was first sent out Tuesday night for 41 year old Elizabeth Crofts, the girl's grandmother, who was believed to have taken 4-year-old Alaina Duey from an Idaho community.

The girl's mom told police that Crofts was supposed to take the girl to school but didn't drop the girl off after picking her up.

The circumstances surrounding how Crofts was located haven't been released, but the girl is said to be safe. She's currently with Elko County law enforcement as she awaits transportation back home.
