Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) – Fears of a recession don’t seem to matter when it comes to people wanting to stay and play in southern Nevada.

New numbers released on Thursday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board showed that state casinos in September took in almost $1.25 billion for the month, marking the 19th straight month the billion-dollar mark has been topped.
Leading the way, as usual, was the Las Vegas Strip. Strip casinos accounted for nearly $693 million, an 8.25% increase from September 2021, while downtown Las Vegas properties took in just over $74 million, an increase of 1.6%.
For the fiscal year of 2022, which came to a close at the end of September, the NGCB said that the state’s gaming win was up 2.42% over the past fiscal year.
As a whole, Nevada collected just over $80M in percentage fees based on taxable revenue from September, a 10.11% increase from October 2021.
