Nevada's gaming win saw another decline in December, despite NFR, NYE crowds

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - Nevada’s gaming industry reported $1.44 billion in gaming win for December 2025, a 1.55% decrease from the same month in 2024, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

December’s figure of $1,438,629,531 is down from $1,461,306,257 in December 2024. However, gaming win increased 2.02% year-to-date through the first six months of fiscal year 2026.

The Las Vegas Strip saw the steepest decline, with gaming win falling 6.07% to $827.7 million compared to $881.3 million in December 2024.

Clark County reported $1.26 billion in gaming win for December, down 2.21% from the previous year. Despite the monthly decline, Clark County’s fiscal year-to-date gaming win increased 1.57%.

Smaller gaming markets outperformed the statewide trend in December. Mesquite saw an 11.17% rise to $17.8 million, followed by Laughlin’s 9.83% increase to $37.9 million. The Boulder Strip also performed well, with a 9.03% increase to $95.7 million in December gaming revenue.

The state collected $88.5 million in percentage fees in January 2026, a 2.26% decrease from the $90.5 million collected in January 2025.

Nevada collected $601.8 million in gaming percentage fees for the fiscal year through January, up 3.78% from the previous year’s $579.9 million.
