Carson City, NV - Nevada's unemployment rate ended 2023 at 5.4%, again the highest in the nation.

Nevada's statewide unemployment rate has dropped by only 0.1 percentage points since December of 2022, despite record-setting months for casinos, the economic boost from the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix and two resort openings in the Las Vegas valley in 2023.

The Metro Las Vegas unemployment rate was 5.3%. North Las Vegas' rate was the highest in the state, at 6.2%.

Nevada has had the highest unemployment in the nation since late 2022.
