Planned power outage to affect wide stretch of 15 near Baker

Gas, food, charging stations will all be interrupted

Las Vegas, NV (KXNT) - The Nevada Department of Transportation and Southern California Edison (SCE) are warning travelers ahead of time about a about a planned power outage affecting the Baker, California area and I-15.

SCE will be conducting reliability upgrades on Thursday, November 7, from 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Friday, November 8 — impacting a 90-mile stretch along the I-15 from Halloran Summit Road to Rasor Road, with the town of Baker pretty much right in the middle.

During the outage period, services such as food establishments, gas stations, and electric vehicle charging ports around Baker will not be available.
