PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As the weather warms up and beaches and some swimming pools open, how do we stay as safe as possible?

The biggest protection is that you are outdoors and there is no doubt the virus is more aggressive indoors. The same rules are still in place: social distancing of 6 feet remains critical, and you need to be very careful about contact with surfaces. Remember, if someone is not wearing a mask, the droplets and spray from talking, coughing or sneezing can spread to surfaces.

All you have to do is touch the surface and rub your eyes or bite your nails and you can inoculate yourself.

The virus doesn’t spread in chlorinated water, but remember it can spread easily in the air above the water.
