PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — With Valentine's Day leading into a weekend, many people will be celebrating, and classic treats like chocolate and wine may be shared as well as a romantic meal.
So how do you approach Valentine's Day if you want to stay healthy?
First, understand that it's OK to eat a big celebratory meal once in a while. In addition, both dark chocolate and red wine in small amounts have heart benefits, but the operative word is moderation.
Finally, there is a clear health benefit to spending quality time with others who are close to us.
The bottom line is don't feel guilty, but get back on track after the celebration.
