16-year-old charged in fatal stabbing of another teen in National Park

NATIONAL PARK, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Prosecutors in Gloucester County have charged a 16-year-old boy with murder in the death of another teenager in National Park.

Xavier Boyd, 19, was stabbed inside the National Park Laundromat on Columbia Boulevard Tuesday evening. West Deptford police responded and Boyd was transported to Cooper University Hospital where he died the next morning.    The medical examiner found he died from a single stab wound to the lower abdomen, and labeled the incident a homicide.


The unidentified suspect has been charged with murder and weapons offenses. He is held in juvenile detention pending further court proceedings.
