NEW JERSEY (KYW Newsradio) — A man was killed in a Camden County house fire Saturday evening.
Firefighters in Haddon Heights were called to High Street near Devon Avenue around 5 p.m. for reports of smoke coming out of the side door of the home.
Inside, they found a 76-year-old man unconscious, and he was soon pronounced dead.
Crews got the flames under control. Footage from our newsgathering partners at NBC10 showed the home boarded up from fire and smoke damage, but it's not completely destroyed.
No one else was hurt. The fire did not spread to any other properties.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Police said it did not appear suspicious.
