PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) -- Back in the day the Bucks County Playhouse was known for its acting apprenticeship program. Entertainers like Grace Kelly and Rob Reiner got their start at the Playhouse. Well, the program is back and auditions are being held later this week.

The Bucks County Playhouse is holding auditions on Friday, Jan. 18 for its summer apprenticeship program.

It's open to students who are about to start college or currently enrolled in college.

Tony Award-winning producer Alex Fraser is Producing Director at the Bucks County Playhouse.

"The kids will dance first, and then if the dancing goes well, they will be asked to sing," Fraser explained. "They should come prepared to sing two contrasting songs, one of which should be in the style of  ABBA...32 bars."

Those selected will be in the chorus of the upcoming production of Mamma Mia!

"It's a chance for talented young performers to work at a theater alongside a professional company," Fraser said, "and kind of learn the ropes from the pros."
