The theme, "Exceeding Your Vision by Finding Your Flame and Leaving Your Seat," is designed to teach black women about legacy.
"A lot of times, women of color and specifically black women, we do not have a seat at the table when decisions are being made and being made on our behalf," said Latifah Fields, the new president of the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women.

Fields was installed after longtime president Linda Watson passed away in December. Fields had worked with Watson since she was a child, and her death is a reminder that women must create seats at the table for the generations behind them.
"When your time is up, when it's time for you to move on to another plight, make sure that seat can be filled by someone like you," she said.
The sold-out luncheon will feature a keynote by Pennsylvania Convention and Visitor's Bureau CEO Julie Coker Graham. The free Economic Development Seminar is still open for registrants.
