“I wish summer wasn't over. It went by too quick,” he said.
He seemed to have a tough time accepting the fact that it was his last shore trip of the season.
“It just hasn't hit me yet really.”
Judi Burton felt the same way.
“Very depressed. It’s a gorgeous day, not ready to head home,” she said.
Though, she did have a positive takeaway.
“This summer, the weather was really great, we didn't have a ton of rain. It was really an enjoyable summer.”
Burton said she always tries to make it back to the shore after Labor Day with her family, but busy schedules usually prevent that from happening.
