Allison Pimm, a spokewoman for Upper Merion Township, says the two groups just launched the "We See You, KOP" campaign.
"To recognize the first responders, the health care professionals, the food service workers, anybody who’s in an essential capacity that either lives and/or works in King of Prussia," she said.
Pimm says they're looking for online nominations from the public for a weekly award, the first to be announced on May 15.
"It’s a really short form and really it just asks for the nominee’s name, what they do, do they live or work in the community – a little bit about it. And then people can submit a photo. If people opened it up and they wanted to submit a little video, it’s all going to be part of our announcement," she explained.
The nominations go to a small group that narrows them down to a short list that goes to their final jury.
"We're opening it up to anyone who lives and or works because we recognize that we don't have a hospital in King of Prussia," Pimm added. "So we want it to be anybody in and out of our community that is really on the front lines. We're hoping for a broad range of people."
