Off-duty Philly firefighter dies at Cape May triathlon

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia firefighters are mourning the loss of two of their own.

Fire officials say Sunday morning, while in Cape May, an off-duty firefighter died competing in the Escape the Cape Triathlon.

There is no word yet on the cause of death.

Another Philadelphia firefighter also died Sunday morning after suffering from a long-term medical issue.

The identities of the firefighters have not been released at this time.
