
Due to the government shutdown, federal workers have missed a paycheck, and for some that means they need to find alternative ways to pay their bills, get groceries and just make ends meet.
"The hunger issue in our area is reaching really crisis proportions, especially with the government shutdown," said Stefanie Arck-Baynes, who is with the nonprofit food distributor Philabundance.

"We're going to have a free food distribution just for government workers who have been impacted by the shutdown," she said.
Arck-Baynes says they hope to start the food distribution sometime next week.
"They'll be able to go to that location, show their federal ID, and they'll be able to receive the food that available," she explained.
