BUCKS COUNTY, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Thursday saw another delay in the guilty plea from the man accused of raping and killing 14-year-old Grace Packer.

Jacob Sullivan admitted in court on Tuesday to the rape and murder of Packer.

But before the plea was finalized, Sullivan had to be taken to the hospital because of a spike in his blood pressure. He was supposed to be back later Wednesday, but the courthouse was closed because of the weather.

Thursday, after about an hour of having the process explained to him, he once again complained of a headache. The Bucks County Sheriff says Sullivan just wanted aspirin, but they called a rescue squad to check him out. His blood pressure was 220/140, so they took him to the hospital, and they are waiting to hear when they can continue.

They were planning to finish the plea in the morning then begin picking the jury that will decide if he should get life in prison or the death penalty.

Sullivan is pleading guilty to 18 charges, including first-degree murder. He will return to court Friday morning to finish his plea once again.

After the plea is finalized, they'll pick a jury that will decide if he should get life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
