What Delaware is doing to roll out the federal unemployment program

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio)  People who are set to soon run out of their unemployment benefits in Delaware can now file for an extension, but it will still be weeks before independent contractors can file in the state.

If you are on unemployment in Delaware, you can now sign up for the 13-week extension, which is part of the federal CARES program signed into law last month.

Like anyone else across the nation, those who are eligible for unemployment because of the pandemic will receive the extra $600 from the federal government.
