New Jersey reported 3,457 new positive coronavirus cases, bringing the state total to 105,523.
South Jersey numbers show 295 fatalities and over 7,500 positive cases.
Gov. Phil Murphy, while keeping an eye on how quickly the numbers in South Jersey are going up, noted that statewide, the numbers are stabilizing a bit.
“We need to see more progress and more slowing before we can begin implementing any effort to get ourselves on the road to the new normal that awaits our state on the other side of this pandemic,” he said.
The governor also reminded landlords of his latest executive order that allows renters to use security deposits to cover overdue rent and that it doesn't life an earlier mandate that bars evictions during the ongoing emergency.
