Investigation continues into Willingboro death; SWAT team visits scene

WILLINGBORO, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) — Police in South Jersey are looking for a woman's killer. Authorities say the victim was shot dead in a car in Willingboro. 

Police say 21-year-old Maribely Lopez was discovered around 8:30 a.m. Thursday in a running car on Medley Lane, in a neighborbood close to Beverly Rancocas Road. She had been shot and killed.

Thursday night, the SWAT team returned to the neighborhood where she was. Sources told CBS 3 Eyewitness News they were searching a home that's connected to the Lopez's death.

Lopez is from Lindenwold, which is about a half-hour away from the scene. It's not really clear why she was in Willingboro. 

Neighbor Evonne Hudson says she saw the red car Lopez was in. She said she didn't think anything of it.

"I drive to work every morning. I see people warming up their cars and stuff so that's what I thought was going on," she said. "I didn't think nothing. I didn't see no bullet holes in the car or anything like that."

Willingboro Police and the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office are on the case. They're asking anyone with any useful information to let get in touch.
