HARRISBURG (KYW Newsradio) — Former Penn State President Graham Spanier who was convicted for his role in the Jerry Sandusky case, has been ordered to report to jail.
He was convicted two years ago by a jury in Harrisburg on one count of endangering the welfare of children for his handling of the Jerry Sandusky scandal, and sentenced to at least two months of prison plus two months of house arrest.
Since then, Spanier has been out on bail appealing. But after Superior Court upheld his conviction, in February the state Supreme Court refused to consider the case.

The judge has ordered Spanier to report to jail on May 1. He will serve his time either in Dauphin County or, if local officials approve, near his home in Centre County. Spanier is also eligible for work release.
