LINDENWOLD, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — A teenager from Lindenwold, New Jersey is featured on the Food Network's "Girl Scout Cookie Championship." But she isn't competing—she's lending her expertise to the contestants.

You may have already seen 14-year-old Bryana Turner, on the box for Girl Scout shortbread cookies. She said she's already sold one thousand boxes this year. "And I'm trying to sell 2,000 right now at this moment," she added.

But that's just one of the reaons the Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey chose Turner for the show.

For her Silver Award—the highest award a Girl Scout can achieve, for leadership and dedication to her community—she distributed hygiene bags to women in need in Camden and Philadelphia.

Overall, the Lindenwold teen said she was thankful for the experience. "I was excited to meet the crew," she admitted. "I got to meet the judges, like Carla Hall, who wanted to take a selfie with me."
