Naseema Sami is accused of killing 78-year-old Lila Frost and 68-year-old Lorraine Gigliello on West Indian Lane in West Norriton back in March.
According to the complaint, police found Sami hiding under a bed in the apartment with her 6-year-old son.
Sami’s trial is scheduled to start Dec. 3, and her lawyer plans to seek an insanity defense.
A court filing quotes Sami’s statement to police saying she felt threatened, that one of the women was pushing buttons in her head as if she had a metal helmet in her skull. She claimed her actions were in self-defense and God had already forgiven her.
Her family members told investigators about strange behavior in the months and years leading up to the murders — Sami once said a dentist had placed a tracker in her tooth, and that people were following after the performer Prince died.
At a pretrial hearing, Sami’s lawyer Carrie Allman said it’s not a question of who did this but rather why did this happened.
