The newly passed $301 million operating budget helps keep costs in check. On top of that, revenues are up as well. Leading CEO John Hanson to announce, "We’ve committed to no bridge toll increase until at least 2021 and we’re projecting no increase will be necessary until 2023."

It might be even longer depending on how the overall economy affects people’s driving habits. The last toll hike on the spans came in 2011 and took the one-way cost from $4 to $5.
"We’ve done a great job controlling costs," Hanson added. "Our teams are operating very efficiently and very effectively. And we’ve seen revenue increases as well thanks to the uptick in the economy."
Capital projects planned in the future include improvements to the PATCO line’s Lindenwold yard, paint work on the Commodore Barry and Betsy Ross spans and cable repairs on the Ben Franklin Bridge.
