PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Leaders of a Philadelphia nonprofit say they're addressing barriers to healthcare that men encounter by bringing the doctors to the people at a free health fair this Saturday.

Job readiness training, resources for dads, and mental health services are some things Philadelphia FIGHT's Kyle Chvasta says will be available at the health fair.

"Bring resources to folks as opposed to people in that endless search to look for supportive services and resources throughout the city," Chvasta said, explaining the goal of the fair.

He says in planning this event, they found a problem.

And if you don't want to come out for the doctors, then come for the free food, giveaways, and music.

The Strength in Numbers – Men and Boys Health Fair will take place at the MLK Recreation Center in North Philadelphia from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
