The exhibit is called "A New Constellation: A collection of Historic 13-star Flags." There are 40 of them with various colors materials and star patterns.
They are owned by Jeff Bridgeman of York County, Pennsylvania.
"Before 1912 there was no official design for the American Flag. No official star pattern. No official number of points on the stars. No official shades of red and blue. No official proportion," said Bridgeman.
There are two signed silk flags made by relatives of Betsy Ross: one by her granddaughter and the other great-granddaughter.
The exhibit at the Museum of the American Revolution runs through July 21.
