Phillies offer choice of credit or refund for April and May ticketholders

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — The Phillies have made a decision about how to handle tickets for for April and May games that have been impacted because of restrictions during the coronavirus pandemic.

When Major League Baseball decided to leave it to teams to figure out their own refund policies, the Phils chose to give fans two options. For the 10 home games that were supposed to happen in April, and the 18 scheduled for May: Either take a credit for potentially later this or next season, or request a refund.

No decision has been made yet about June and beyond. Weber anticipates those discussions happening probably in early June.

“We all know the uncertainty and, again, waiting on MLB on direction for how the season looks and different things like that,” he said.

"We’re glad to get this policy out there. We’re hopeful many of them will keep the credit and look forward to 2021 or later in 2020.”
