PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Grays Ferry family is breathing a sigh of relief after escaping injury when their house fell in on them on New Year's Eve.
Just after 7 p.m. Monday, Philadelphia police say a woman and her two children were in their home on South Napa Street near Reed street, when suddenly the house caved in.
No one was injured. Police say the family narrowly escaping what could have been a deadly event.
the city's Department of Licenses and Inspections, as well as PECO and PGW responded to the scene. There is no word yet on what caused the collapse.
