He may be best known for his recurring role on the Cosby show and or as "Seaweed" in the movie Hairspray.
Actor, singer, producer and director Clayton Prince was back at the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) demonstrating his talents and knowledge of the entertainment industry.
"When people come to us and say, people who are successful, you know, you need to be bold, you need to have people to support you around you, and you'll do it. You know, stuff like that changes people's minds and changes people's lives," Castro said.
The event was hosted by the Mann Center for the Performing Arts' Education and Community Engagement Program.
"As a classroom teacher of 15 years myself, I was a music teacher for 15 years, there are many, many aspects of being a successful human being and a successful adult. And yes, you must cultivate the talent, but you need to go to school, you need to learn all of the academics, you need to be a well-rounded human being in order to function," said Naomi Gonzalez, the Mann Center's program's director.
