The money comes from the Petco Foundation and is going to the Homeward Bound Pet Adoption Center, which used to be called the Camden County Animal Shelter, in Blackwood.
"Our intake is increasing. We’re approaching summer. We have an influx of kittens coming in," Rowland added. "We're encouraging volunteers through our foster care program to help with our kittens that are too small, and we reach shelter capacity. So we rely on these temporary homes to get these kittens out into care so we can get them adopted."
The idea, as always, is to find forever homes for them, and this donation, the largest the center has ever received from Petco, will certainly help.
