January 19, 2019 Despite internal turmoil, and controversies plaguing the national Women's March, the local Women's March on Philadelphia had a huge turnout.
"We did have a lot of problems but we left our egos out of it," said Women's March board member Deja Lynn Alvarez. "And this is the result of making sure that we remember this isn't about any one of us, this is about all of us!"

January 19, 2019 Nicole Sanders was one of thousands who came out to the march, and she brought her 11-year-old daughter with her.
"If you don't stand up and they don't see you standing up for what you believe in, they might believe that you don't need the rights that you want," Sanders said, "or they might believe that you don't think it's important."
Sanders says she's motivated to march by numerous important issues that women face.
"The world, the country, our legislatures, they need to know we have a voice, we vote and we can make a difference!"
