PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Tuesday evening's storms caused lots of power outages and damage throughout the Delaware Valley.
Rick Eaches was on his way home from work riding through Morgantown, Berks County when he realized he was not going to outrun the storm.
That's when he decided to take refuge at a Walmart.
"The winds were so bad that it was rattling the roof. There were people huddled in the middle of the store," he said.
Eaches says after about an hour in Walmart, he decided to get back on the road, but the storm did so much damage on Main Street he took to the side roads.

"There's roofs off, there's siding off, there's trees that have been uprooted, the fence around the pool got lifted off of it. It was just a complete disaster," he said.
Eaches says in addition to home damage, he also saw vehicles completely destroyed by the storms and fallen trees.
