J.D. Brooke joined KYW Newsradio as a traffic producer in September 2018. Prior to working at the 24-Hour Traffic Center, he produced for TV and radio stations all over the country, including stations in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia.
Brooke began his career in the news media as a photojournalist in Baltimore and then Philadelphia. He also worked as a firefighter/EMT in Montgomery County. During that time, he combined his news media experience and firefighter experience to start the popular website PhillyFireNews.com.
