KYW Traffic
Justin Drabick joined the KYW Newsradio Traffic Center in 2017 as the PM drive on-air traffic reporter, after working at CBS Philly as an on-air meteorologist since 2010.
Drabick started his career as a meteorologist at WMDT in Salisbury, Maryland, and became the chief meteorologist. While in Salisbury, he taught a college weather course at Salisbury University. He has also worked at WBOC in Salisbury, Maryland, and NBC4 in Washington, D.C.
Drabick is a Pennsylvania native. He grew up in Allentown and received a Bachelor of Science in meteorology and a minor in environmental geography from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and holds the Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) seal, the highest designation from the society.
Drabick is no stranger to reporting Delaware Valley traffic — he spent time as a backup on-air traffic reporter for CBS Philly newscasts. His passion for meteorology can be heard in his traffic reports as he brings traffic and weather together. Some of his most memorable broadcasting experiences include covering an earthquake and Hurricane Irene in the same week, and reporting traffic during the Eagles Super Bowl parade.
Outside of work, Drabick enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter, being outdoors, and working out in the gym. Some of his favorites hobbies are surfing and bodyboarding. His favorite movie is “Goodfellas.” He loves seafood, baseball, electronic music, summertime, and the beach.
