PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend on The KYW To-Do List, Philly is celebrating Juneteenth with a drive-in movie homage to Tulsa's Dreamland Theatre; performances by Black professors, poets and musicians; and a guided tour of South Street's first Black firefighters.

EVENT: Greenwood Collective Drive-in

WHERE: Global Leadership Academy Charter School West, 4601 W. Girard Ave., West Philadelphia
DETAILS: The Greenwood Collective presents the Drive-In, which pays homage to the Williams' Dreamland Theatre in Tulsa and is curated by BlackStar Film Festival. Watch a variety of independent films, from "Jinn" to "Miss Juneteenth," which are directed by Black and brown women.

EVENT: Journeying Toward Freedom, a Chester County Juneteenth Festival

DETAILS: Voices Underground presents a three-day keynote speaking event to commemorate Juneteenth. On Friday, poet, performer and professor Dr. Joshua Bennett will reflect on the ongoing journey to freedom at Longwood Gardens. On Saturday, poets from the I Matter project will perform, along with a talk with writer Caroline Randall Williams. On Sunday, Philadelphia-born chef Elijah Miligan of Cooking for the Culture is putting on a special dinner to take a closer look at the cooking experience of Black and brown communities.

DETAILS: Be'chol Lashon and a roster featuring many national organizations and establishments, including Philadelphia's own National Museum of American Jewish History, welcome Shabbat and talk about the importance and history of Juneteenth.

DETAILS: Although there won't be an official Juneteenth parade, there are plenty of events happening to commemorate the holiday. Meet at 52nd Street and Haverford Avenue for a Freedom March followed by an Art in the Park exhibit at Malcolm X Park. Everybody Eats Philly is also celebrating its first anniversary and will be in attendance with plenty to eat.

EVENT: Germantown's Juneteenth Festival
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 1 to 5 p.m.
WHERE: Johnson House Historic Site, 6306 Germantown Ave., Germantown
DETAILS: In its 15th year, Germantown's Juneteenth Festival is combining a livestream program with in-person events for a day officially called "Juneteenth, History, Heritage, Culture Then and Now." Outdoor programming includes everything from learning more about the holiday to performances from Grounded Theatre Company based on interviews collected of those who were enslaved.

EVENT: Juneteenth Celebration at AAMP

WHERE: African American Museum in Philadelphia, 701 Arch St., Center City
DETAILS: Spend your Juneteenth at AAMP with a day full of programming for the whole family. Outdoors, there will be local vendors, tasty bites and live performances. Free timed admission indoors will also be available between 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

EVENT: Juneteenth: A Holiday for All

WHERE: Woodmere Art Museum, 9201 Germantown Ave., Chestnut Hill
DETAILS: In partnership with AAMP, the Woodmere Art Museum's Saturday Night Jazz series is putting on a special performance for Juneteenth. The Arpeggio Jazz Ensemble will perform selections from the jazz opera, Never Back Down and the music of King Sunny Ade, Archie Shepp, and Max Roach. There will also be a special poetry and music performance by award-winning Black lyricist and author Nina "Lyrispect" Ball.

WHERE: Meet on South Street at Alder Street Alley (between 10th and 11th streets)
DETAILS: 1016-18 South St. once housed Engine 11, Philadelphia's first Black firefighters. Learn more about their legacy and the jazz scene along the iconic street during this free walking tour.

EVENT: The Juneteenth Soulstice
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
WHERE: John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge at Tinicum, 8601 Lindbergh Blvd., Southwest Philadelphia
DETAILS: Join Heinz Refuge for an evening of live music, art and more. Philly Phamily Photos by Jonene Lee will be in attendance to take photos of your family and there will be snacks and guided nature walks.
