OUTDOORS

EVENT: Craft, Geocache and Pond Walks

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 1 to 2:15 p.m.

WHERE: Awbury Arboretum, 1 Awbury Road, East Germantown

DETAILS: The arboretum and environmental education organization Let’s Go Outdoors are teaming up for a family-friendly afternoon in the great outdoors. Learn about Wingohocking Creek, take a craft home, and learn to Geocache — which is like hide-and-seek, but you use a GPS device.

EVENT: Camping Noire's Annual Mother's Day Pop-Up Goddess Hike

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 8:45 to 11 a.m.

WHERE: Meet at Forbidden Drive upper parking lot in Wissahickon Park, West Bells Mill Road

DETAILS: Do something a little out of the ordinary this Mother’s Day weekend and take her on a 2.5-mile hike through the Wissahickon. All skill levels are welcome to come on this annual trek.

EVENT: Sisterly Love Food Fair

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 12 to 4 p.m.

WHERE: East Market, 1100 Market St., Center City

DETAILS: The Sisterly Love Food Fair is back with a pop-up in Center City’s East Market. Shop everything from pre-packaged foods to jewelry and condiments.

EVENT: Strawberry Month at Peddler’s Village

DATE: Through May 31

WHERE: Peddler’s Village, 100 Peddler’s Village, New Hope

DETAILS: Every day this month is a dedication to strawberries at Peddler’s Village. Stop by on the weekends to enjoy live music and treats at outdoor tents.

EVENT: Ardmore Restaurant Week

DATE: May 6 to 16

WHERE: Several restaurants in Ardmore

DETAILS: Join the two-week celebration of Ardmore’s dining scene by getting a prix fixe dinner or lunch. This Saturday and next, there will also be a special pop-up at Schauffele Plaza so you can sit under the stars.

EVENT: African American Museum in Philadelphia reopens

DATE: Thursday

WHERE: African American Museum in Philadelphia, 701 Arch St., Old City

DETAILS: The African American Museum in Philadelphia is welcoming back visitors for in-person visits. The museum has three timed ticketing slots to ensure social distancing. The museum’s core exhibit, “Audacious Freedom: African Americans in Philadelphia 1776 – 1876,” has been redesigned for a hands-free experience.

EVENT: Rodin Museum reopens
