PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend, excavate fossils and train a raptor with the return of Jurassic Quest, get your last-minute holiday shopping done at The Bourse, or, take part in a community menorah lighting. There are plenty of other fun things to do this weekend in and around Philly.

EVENT: Jurassic Quest

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

WHERE: Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch St., Center City

DETAILS: The Jurassic Quest experience is coming to Philadelphia. You’ll be able to see life-sized animated dinosaurs, dig for fossils, discover ancient oceans and meet some little (kind of) baby dinosaurs.

WHERE: The Bourse Philly, 111 S. Independence Mall East, Old City

DETAILS: Christmas is next week — are all your gifts in order? If not, The Bourse is here to help with 30 curated craft vendors on top of its normal retail shopping. There will be free gift wrap once you do find that perfect gift.

WHERE: Betsy Ross House, 239 Arch St., Old City

DETAILS: The Betsy Ross House and the Old City Jewish Arts Center are coming together to host a community menorah lighting, complete with latkes and doughnuts.

Chanukah on the Avenue 2022

EVENT: Chanukah on the Avenue 2022

DATE/TIME: Sunday; events start at 3 p.m., menorah lighting is at 5 p.m.

WHERE: Singing Fountain, 1538 S. 11th St., East Passyunk

DETAILS: East Passyunk’s annual Chanukah on the Avenue is back with live music, make-your-own Chanukah lantern crafts, games and a menorah lighting.

EVENT: A Longwood Christmas

WHERE: Longwood Gardens, 1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square

DETAILS: Christmas returns to Longwood Gardens with seasonal floral designs and trees, holiday lights and more. Miniature trains will be set up in the indoor gardens and the Open Air Theatre fountains will be lit up in holiday colors and dance to Christmas music.
