
PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — This weekend in Philly, dance the day away at the first-ever East Passyunk Music Festival with bands from across the globe. Bounce it out at the biggest bouncy house of your dreams at the Navy Yard. Pick up the holey sport of pickleball in Dilworth Park from now through October.
East Passyunk Music Festival
Dance the day away at the the Inaugural East Passyunk Music Festival. Listen to music from all across the globe, from Guachinangos blend of Mexican jarocho and Colombian cumbia, to Francis Mbappe and the Tribe's Afro beats. The free event is happening this Sunday, Sept. 10 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. along five blocks of Passyunk Avenue from Broad to Dickinson.
Delaware River Festival
Enjoy water-centered learning in Philadelphia and across the river in Camden on the waterfronts. The Delaware River Festival will have ferry rides, museum visits, pedal boats, face painting, scavenger hunts, crafts and so much more! The free event starts on Saturday, Sept.r 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia and Wiggins Park in Camden.
Pickleball Pop Up
Pickleball’s not just your grandma's sport anymore! Join in on CityPickle’s first Philadelphia event. You can reserve an outdoor pickleball court in Dilworth Park from Sept. 7 to Oct.21 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Courts can be rented out for an hour for $40. There’s a limit of six people per reservation and if you don’t have your own paddle, don’t sweat it, you can rent one for $6.
The Big Bounce
The biggest outdoor bouncy house is here, but for a limited time so hop to it! There are four different types of tickets available for The Big Bounce, from toddler sessions to adults only. Prices vary on tickets, but each one is good for three hours of bouncy fun. The bouncy houses are located at the Navy Yard on Shelby Field and you can bounce until Sunday, Sept. 10.
Navy Yard Night Festival
Blow off steam, enjoy the weather and meet your fellow Philadelphians at the Navy Yard Night Festival. There will be yoga, various food trucks like East Coast Mini Donuts and Thai It Up, local vendors and live music. There will also be bounce houses, face painting, ping pong, Jenga, and so much more! The event is happening this Thursday, Sept. 7 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Central Green.
