EVENT: Splatterfest 9

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 7 p.m.

WHERE: The Colonial Theatre, 227 Bridge St., Phoenixville

DETAILS: Splatterfest is back at The Colonial Theatre for a night of some truly strange, bloody and rarely screened Italian horror cinema. Five different films will play beginning at 7 p.m. into the wee hours of the morning — if you can handle it.

EVENT: Open Porch

DATE/TIME: Sunday,  2 to 5 p.m.

WHERE: Franny Lou’s Porch, 2400 Coral St., East Kensington

EVENT: 59 ½ Annual Pocket Sized Philadelphia Folk Festival

DATE: Saturday and Sunday

WHERE: Online

DETAILS: A digital pocket-sized version of the Philadelphia Folk Festival is back and improved from 2020. There will be multiple stages/streams of curated music, a craft show, Zoom campfires complete with open mics, and a food and merch “tent.”

EVENT: Wine on the Waterfront

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 3 to 7 p.m.

WHERE: Washington Crossing Historic Park, 1112 River Road, Washington Crossing

DETAILS: Seven different wineries will come out on the Delaware River in Washington Crossing Historic Park for an evening of tastings and music. There will be live jazz, gourmet food and bottles and cases available for purchase.

PRICE: $40; $15 for designated driver

EVENT: Ardmore Rock N’ Ride

DATE/TIME: Bike races begin at 8 a.m.; festival kicks off at 12 p.m.

WHERE: Near Ardmore Music Hall, 23 East Lancaster Ave., Ardmore; see map for exact locations

DETAILS: As cyclists take part in the Main Line Bike Race (you can still register before 8 p.m. on Friday), come out to Ardmore for a free music festival with two outdoor stages, a family fun zone, and plenty of food and drink vendors.

EVENT: Dog Days of Summer in Manayunk

DATE/TIME: Saturday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

WHERE: Main Street in Manayunk

DETAILS: Bring your fluffy friend out for a dog-friendly day, complete with a puppy photo booth, yappy hours, dog caricatures and more.
