EVENT: Bug Fest

WHERE: Online and at the Academy of Natural Sciences, 1900 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Center City
DETAILS: Bug Fest is scaling back this year but offering both in-person and online programs. There will be live bug displays, a roach race and a chance to see what all your favorite creepy crawlies look like in high-definition. Check out the schedule for more events.

EVENT: Freedom Fest
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 12 to 8 p.m.
WHERE: 1415 N. Broad St., North Philadelphia
DETAILS: Dice Raw of The Roots, who is also the CEO of the historic The New Freedom Theatre, is putting on an all-day festival complete with yoga, live music, poetry, short plays and much more.

EVENT: Afternoon Picnic & Cartoons
DATE/TIME: Saturday, 12 to 3 p.m.
WHERE: Sunset Social, 129 S. 30th St., University City
DETAILS: Join chill vibes up on Cira Green rooftop with Sunset Social for an afternoon of your favorite morning cartoons and lawn games. There will be $3 cheeseburgers, $2 hotdogs and $4 drafts available.

EVENT: SEAMAAC and Novick Urban Farm Summer’s End Festival
DATE/TIME: Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.
WHERE: Novick Family Urban Farm, 3660 S. Lawrence St., South Philadelphia

EVENT: Can't Wait Live: A Concert For Jobs, Climate & Care

EVENT: ZooSnooze
DATE/TIME: Friday, begins at 6 p.m. and goes overnight
WHERE: Elmwood Park Zoo, 1661 Harding Blvd., Norristown

EVENT: Flavors of FDR: Food Market Tasting Tour
